I am sure plenty of you have done it I never needed to till this trip

The info I got from google is that it is 8 to 10 dollars I just don't think my backpack can hold my winter jacket and water bottles plus wallet I might be wrong

Last time we rented a locker it was $10, then you get $5 back when you return the key when you're done with the locker.

Cost depends on the size. You get $5 back though.

A backpack should be able to fit a few water bottles and a light jacket or two no problem. Just depends on how much you want to carry around all day.

Would it be bad manners for lack of better term to rent it first thing in the morning even though I won't need it till the afternoon

I am just overly concerned that's all can't be too careful part of my disability is I physically hurt if I get too cold so I would rather be the gust everyone stars at for having the most layers on then be in pain

In Jan and feb here is how I dress for work to drive the golf cart

Long underwear turtle neck and jeans 3 coats

I wouldn't worry about renting one right away and taking one away from another guest. Disney has plenty of lockers to rent. If you want to get one first thing, go right ahead and do so. No one will be denied a locker because you rented one.

Remember that not everyone knows your trip plans and when you be there.

Also, making sure...you live in FL? So you know that sometimes it's literally freezing and sometimes it's broiling then?

And I figure if you have your backpack, coat, and bottles you can see what works now.

You mentioned renting it in the morning but not needing it until the afternoon. Wouldn't it be more of the opposite, maybe not needing the warmth (so putting it in the locker) earlier, but as the sun sets taking it out of the locker and putting it on?

There are boocoodles of lockers, so don't feel bad at all for taking it up all day. This past December we rented one almost every day we were in the parks so we could stow away jackets (and in some cases scarves and gloves!) until the chillier PM hours. No sense in carrying it around the park all day or having to go all the way back to the room!

Not to thread jack but...are there any lockers available pre security?

I know some might want this option but I don't see a advantage for this in my case
Yeah, sounds like you definitely want the ones inside the park. And just so you know, we fit a large tote bag stuffed full of jackets into a small sized locker. Unless you're taking in a small suitcase basically, I don't think you'd need a large one.

Thanks I well definitely get the small one

At AK, lockers are passed security. I would rent the locker - I did on a December trip and was very glad not to be carrying a coat, hat, scarf and gloves around with me all day.

Then as soon as the sun started going down, I went to the locker and got my warm gear. It was so nice to be warm and toasty when it was cold out!

OP, I thought your husband was taking a scooter.

If that is the case, you could probably save some money by putting the backpack on the back of the scooter. That way your stuff would be with you and you wouldn't have to trek all the way back to the front of the park.

It's fitting everything in the backpack that's the problem I don't mind carrying it
