We are thinking of renting a house in the Orlando area. Any specific area you would suggest. We are only doing Disney for a day, Sea World for a day and then the rest relax, shop and go to the ocean!
Where is the best location and any good reviews on homes you would suggest. We are looking for a 4 or 5 bedroom house.
Love the idea of having our own space, private pool, etc.
Thanks :)

We like the Formosa Gardens area which is west of the Maingate area of 192, including Windsor Hills #1 on the map, Emerald Island #15 etc. But if you're not going to the parks a lot then any of the areas would do. There's subdivisions along highway 27, Tuscan Hills #79, Hampton Lakes # 74 and also in the Davenport area south of exit 58 (Champions Gate) Grand Reserve #2 Reunion #21. You would be able to get a better price in these areas.
The subdivisions in the Poincianna area would be closer to the outlet malls. Terra Verde # 62 Lake Berkley # 61 Bellavida #68
Just named a few of the subs. so that you can get an idea of where they are.
Have a look at this map and get an idea of the areas and then go on homeaway.com or vrbo.com and see what's available.

I have stayed at Bellavida off of 192 right behind Medival Times.
The house was beautiful and I loved having my own pool, so I could swim whenever I wanted to. We rented the house with my sister-in-law and her family. We had 10 people total ( 4 adults 6 kids ) and we had plenty of room for everybody. It cost us less to stay there then it would have if we got hotels for each family.

They also have a second property at Encantada which is on 192 by the Animal Kingdom Lodge we are going there next month, I will post how that place is :yay:

Please do. I've stayed an Encantada several times in the past and really enjoyed it. However, I've seen many posts on various sites stating that the overall upkeep of the property had declined. We're planning on going in May,but I was hoping to get a recent review from someone before I booked it.

Thanks in advance

Has anyone stayed in Calabay Parc? We are looking at a home there for March and just wondered if anyone could offer their opinion. :confused3

Thanks

I think for all it is a personal opinion.

I prefer the Formosa Gardens area over the 27 or 192 east. All 3 areas have beautiful homes. Its just my choice.

I think if you went with a home that fits all your needs you will not go wrong where ever you should stay.

I would recomend getting a home with enough beds for all and not use the couch as a bed. JMHO
