Renting a car on-site?

We are staying on-site (this weeks pick for resort is BWi but nothing definite yet) and using Disney transportation...However, I might want to head off-site to hit the Disney outlets and dh might need to escape the Disney magic (sad, but true) for a day...Is there anywhere on site to rent a car? Would we be able to get a car with a car seat and a booster? Is it even worth it for a day? If we just wanted to go to the outlets is there another cost-effective travel option?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated--I am just a big pile of questions lately

At the Car Care Center (next to MK entrance) Alamo and National have a rental station (they also have a shuttle that will pick you up to/from hotel). There are also car rentals (can't think of names) at Swan/Dolphin.........and I believe at some of the DTD hotels.

I think it will be WAY cheaper to rent for a day than take a taxi!
