Renting a Car for part of our trip?

This is a two part question I guess...

First should be easy: Can you take the magical express only one way?

Second: Is there any companies that will either pick you up/drop you off at your resort allowing you to rent a car for only part of your trip? If so does this cost a lot of money?

Any info is appreciated as this is our first time renting a car.

Yes you can use DME only one way. We are using DME for our arrival. We are heading south and going to see some Red Sox spring training games before we go home so we are renting a car and will use it to go to the airport.

Alamo has locations on the Walt Disney World property at the Car Car Center, Dolphing Hotel near Disney's BoardWalk and Buena Vista Palace near Downtown Disney.

Enterprise has a location at Marriott World Center near Walt Disney World.

Dollar has a location in the Regal Sun Resort near Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World.

Hertz has a location on Disney World property at Shades of Green. Also there are locations in the Down Town Disney area.

I do not think any of them pick you up. You can take a bus from a park to the Dolphin or Downtown Disney area.

We are renting from Dollar and plan to walk to the Regal Sun from Downtown Disney to pick up our car. Or maybe a cab not sure.

If you have a reservation the Car Care Center will send a shuttle to your resort as well as drop you off at your resort after you return the car

Yes, Alamo at the Disney Car Care Center will pick you up and drop you off if you are staying on property. We are taking advantage of the shuttle on our next trip.
