Renting a car for 1 day

We are going down for 1 week next Spring and hubby has mentioned that he and the kids would love to go visit Kennedy Space Center.

We plan on staying on property so we don't want to rent a car for the entire week but for just one day to do the offsite trip.

Is it possible? Can you rent a car at Disney? Or does it have to be at the airport?

Yes, yes, no. I've used Budget at the Doubletree on HPB.

Naitonal/Alamo have sites at the Dolphin, the CarCare Center and the Wyndham on Hotel Boulevard. I ended up getting a car at the Car Care Center, and scheduling a shuttle pick up at the resort where I was staying; they made it very easy.

The staff there also pointed out that a one day rental is 24 hours, so you could rent the car one morning and not have to return it until the next morning.

we usually rent for a day or two from Dolphin. We think the location is very easy... this year for sept. I got a midsize for 4 days for low $60's. Used a BJS codes... You may want to check how much for more days because it was only a difference of $10 from 1 day - 4 days.
