Renters on E Bay

We just bought into SSR at the promo price and I am happy to welcome ourselves home.... I have question, has anybody seen the rentals offered on E Bay for Disney time share, I can't believe that people are making a living out of renting out their points. I think its rotten and we were told that Disney has going to monitor this and this practice will be stopped. I know that they have gotten stricter but apparently not enough for these chronic renters. These people apparently seem to have been doing it for years....Just wanted to hear others thoughts on this.....

Why is it objectionable?

My only opinion is that I would not pay in advance to anyone (namely a private party) from whom it would be difficult to get my money back if there is no place to stay in when I arrive.

I have been to Disney 4 times since 2004. Three of those trips I have rented points through sellers on ebay.I have never had a problem. They set everything up and send you the paperwork. So you can confirm your reservations. I bought my park tickets else where so that was the only way i could get the dining package. I would guess I just have faith that the person is trustwothy and not going to cheat me out of my money.
