Hi All!
We will be at the BCV beginning on the 25th of this month. The person we have rented our points from has been great and I would rather not pester him....if we want to adjust our room request (in particular, to have two queens in the second bedroom) can we do that a few days before we go by calling the resort directly? I know MS will not talk with us.

Thanks!
Anne b

The two queen bed in the second room configuration at BCV must be reserved in advance as they are limited -- they get booked up well in advance -- so if you want that you should ask your landlord to check now.

Sorry, but as a non-member you can't change or add anything. The member will need to try to get that for you. That's why you paid them.

From what I have read on the boards- I am new to DVC- waiting for ROFR, never stayed in a DVC resort- but it seems that requests are granted as you check in? And given out on a first come first served basis? I'm not sure how that works- I guess my reply was more of a question than an answer.... sorry.:rotfl:

The dedicated 2BDRM with 2 queens at the BCV generally needs to be requested when the reservation is made not at check in. Most likely at this late date (if you are going to be checking in on 1/25) you will not be able to get the 2 queens. I was waitlisted for a 2BDRM for my trip (1/21 - 1/25) which finally came through back in November. The only thing available then was a 2 BDRM with 1 queen and 1 sofa bed.

I suggest you call the person you are renting from and ask them to waitlist you for a 2BDRM with 2 queens. You might get lucky. Only the DVC member can make the change.

Members make all their requests with MS when they make their reservation. Requests include smoking/non, handicapped/non, water view/courtyard view, etc.

In this case, there are a few dedicated 2 bedroom villas at BCV that have two queen beds in the second bedroom instead of a queen and double sleeper sofa. This is a guaranteed booking decision and not merely a request.

And a non-member cannot make changes to the room request. When they check in, they can see about getting a pool view or courtyard view (for example), but not the bed request.

At BCV most dedicated 2 bedroom (but not all) have 2 queens. All lock-off at BCV have the sleeper and a queen. Dedicated with 2 quens is a reservable category, but it should have been booked as a such when the reservation was made. If you do have a dedicated unit, but did not specifically reserve 2 queens, chances are you will get two queens, but it is not guaranteed, as there are a few units with the sleeper.

Of the 74 or so dedicated 2 BR only about 25 have 2 queen beds, the others have a queen plus a pullout queen. And I think they are all direct booking cat. and not requests.

Thanks all for the replies. I didn't realize there are so few with 2 queens. we were looking at it for convenience in case the kids disliked the pullout sofa. So, it is probably best to just leave it be. Thanks!
Anne

Don't give up hope, Anne. You may get two queens even if you don't request them. We did Dec. 9-18. I had forgotten to request a 2-bedroom dedicated or 2 queens, but . . . surprise, surprise. That's what we got (room 353) when we checked in. I was so tickled -- and surprised -- because I figured I'd missed my chance by not requesting it when I made the reservation! The same thing could just as easily happen to you. Good luck!
