Renter ? about ME

Hi!
We've rented points for a last minute reservation. We arrive 5/3. We did not have the member set up ME service for us. We planned to rent a car so we did not need it. The car rental prices ar quite higher than last September, and we're now thinking maybe we'll cut the car rental. Is it too late to have the member set up ME, if we're willing to collect our own bags? If not, how late is too late?

The member does not have a lot of experience with the rental process, so I thought I'd ask here before I bother him. Thanks!

They should be able to still add ME to the reservation. They will need your flight information to add it.

I checked out our members website and it does make referrences to arrangements made with less than 10 days. So you can still make the arrangements - they just will not guarantee that they can get you the luggage tags for your trip down.

I also learned something new. The ME arrangements can be made right on line from our website. Although, the person renting you the points would need to do it then.

Great thanks! I'll give him our flight info and let him know that he can add the ME online. He probably doesn't know that either. For future reference, can members add DDP online?

DDP must be added by calling MS - no online. Also, it must be added at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date.

Even if you don't receive the luggage tags in time before you leave you can still use DME and they will even transport your checked bags. When you check in with DME after your flight arrives you can give them your baggage claim and they will still retrieve your bags and transport them to your resort. Just be sure to have anything you will need immediately with you since the bags may not make it to the resort for a few hours.

Just ask the member you are renting from to add DME for you (and also the DDP if you want that).
