Rented points ressie linked to cash ressie?

I have a question about linking a one night cash ressie to a 4 night points ressie. We'd like to do a cash ressie (CM discount) for Saturday night at VWL (2-bdr) and then rent points for Monday-Thursday. We really would rather not have to change rooms. Is this possible to do if I'm renting the points? If it's possible, how hard is it? Could I really expect a hassle-free check-out/check-in on Sunday morning? Please let me know what all of you experts think!

Thanks,

I'm not sure that is possible. Point inventory and CRO inventory are seperate, and I think the only way you can link a cash ressie and point ressie is if the cash ressie is a DVC discount.

You can't link these two reservations. But you can have the other reservation noted on the originals. And make sure the same name is on both reservations - that's a sure way to have to move. When you arrive, ask if you are blocked into the same room for the entire stay. If you are, you won't have to move, only check out and check back in. You will get new room IDs, parking passes and if you bought the Disney Dining Plan, it will stop after the first reservation and start up again for the second.

And you'll have to get your points reservation from Sunday night through Thursday night (check out Friday). Otherwise, if you check in on Sat on a cash reservation and check in on Monday on points, you are lacking Sunday night.

Your main problem? When are you going? If it is during the holidays, you aren't going to get VWL for 2007. It's the smallest DVC and might not even have a two bedroom available for cash. And you will need the 11 month home resort advantage, so get a member with VWL as their home resort and make that reservation 11 months out.

Thanks for your help! I did mean to say Sunday-Thursday night points reservation. We'd like to go the last week of January. I'd really like to stay at the VWL, but we'd be fine with OKW if the waitlist doesn't come through. We'd also be fine staying at the Contemporary for Saturday night, if need be, but we'd prefer not to move. We also have two young children, so staying near the MK for the entire time would be nice.

Thanks again for your help! I'll have to talk over our options with the family to see which hassle, switching hotels or keeping on top of our room assignments, is most desirable.

Thanks,
