rented points question

We have rented points for an april stay at VWL and have gotten varying opinions on whether we would be eligible for the additional discounts available to DVC members as we are renting the points and not the actual owners. Any input would be greatly appreciated also any info on what these discounts and benefits are also. Thanks in advance.

Technically, no, you are not eligible for the discounts. The DVC Member discounts are intended to be for members only.

However, unless something has changed recently, your room key will have a notation that reads "DVC Member". That will probably be sufficient for most establishments that offer a discount.

But if anyone ever thinks to ask you for the actual DVC Membership card, you will not be able to produce one and probably not receive the discount.
