Who has had luck scheduling DME using the online form? I know some have and some have had to have the renter make the arrangements. I have rented through a friend and really hoping not to have to bother them and just do it myself. Thoughts or experiences would be much appreciated!

I have had a renter who did it by calling DME. I told them it would be no problem for me to do it but they wanted to and did.

I’ve rented points and used the online form twice without any problems. As long as you have the reservation number, you should be good to go.

Thanks....filled out the form and received a notice saying they received my request...assuming I will also get a confirmation once it is processed?.

I rented points in April from a broker for my first two nights for a Polynesian studio. Then I rented an additional day through the owner. Is there any way the owner can call to connect these two reservations so that I don’t have to check out and check back in for the same type of room? I’m sorry if I am on the wrong board for this question.

Both owners have to note it that it’s the same party. While unlikely toy will have to move rooms, you do need be prepared because it is not a guarantee,

At check in, remind them of the two different reservations so that if they didn’t do it they way, there is still time to fix. You may still need to go to the desk that morning, but that takes no time,

Sorry -new to all of this. What would both owners have to do? One is DVC rental store and the other is an owner. Is it just easier to communicate with Poly when I arrive?

We booked a DVC stay for our daughters family - she was able to access the online form for ME but they sent the confirmation to me

DVC rental store arranged your rental through an owner (they don't own points, they act as a mediator between renters and owners who own points where the renter wants to stay). I'm guessing you arranged the second reservation with a different owner directly, not the owner that worked with DVC Rental store. The owners have to call member services to add a note to your reservation with the other reservation number.

And the contract the DVC rental store has with the owner may state they will only bother the owner for DME and the dining plan. You can ask, but your broker may say no.

Waiting until you get to Poly would probably mean that you’d more likely than not be put in different rooms And then be attempting to have it changed then.

Disney will not know you are the same party because the reservations are on two different DVC memberships. They would have no way of knowing it’s the same party without the notation,

Just contact each and ask if they would put the notation. As noted, they could send an email or use the chat feature. Even if you can’t get the one you reserved through the broker to do it, getting the Individual owner to do it will at least help.

I have 3 different UYs so I have had to do this before and MS reminds me that they do their best to keep you. So far, never been moved but I always go in knowing they could make me.

Thanks so much the owner has been amazing so maybe he can just make a note. Its worth a try. Another question, I apologize. I have a reservation for Poly (4/2 thru 4/4) and a one night poly (4/4-4/5-through owner). The same owner also booked BCV from 4/5-4/9. I think the answer is no but even Though I have a consecutive resort Disney stay for 7 days when I do my fast passes there is no way to do them all from 60 days out from 4/2. I will have to wait until 60 days from BCV to do 4/7. Is this right?

Actually you can book FPs from the start. It’s dining reservations that give trouble with split stay. As long as you have tickets to cover the 7 days, you’ll be set!

Is this true if only we have 2 day park hopper tickets? For example, we arrive at Poly on 4/2 but we are going to parks on 4/3. So, I know that I can make my fast passes 60 days before 4/2. We have the poly stay from 4/2-4/4 (through DVC rental) and 4/4-4/5 Poly (through owner). Then 4/5-4/9 through same owner at BCV. The next day we wanted to do passes was for 4/7. Because there are 3 reservations, I could only do the 4/7 based on 4/5 reservation? Or do you think that the app will see that I am staying consecutive 7 days (despite three reservations ) and that on 4/2 I can still book for 4/7?

Starting 60 days from 4/2, you will be able to make as many reservations for FP that match your tickets. I do split stays all the time and it’s not an issue,

So, if you want 7 days of passes, you need to have a ticket or tickets assigned to you that will cover the 7 days. if you only have a 2 day ticket, then it will only let you do 2 days worth, but that will be any two.

You do need to be sure all reservations have been linked first in MDE.
