rented dvc and dining plan

I have rented a DVC villa through a member. At first I opted not to take up the Dining Plan but now after some research I think I will. Can the Dining Plan be booked and paid for when I arrive or do I need to book and pay in advance.

You need to have the member that you are renting from book it in advance.

You need to book the dining plan at least 1 day before arrival......

... and at a time when Member Services is actually open and the computers are working, so that might be three or more days prior to your check-in date, depending on Member Service's operating hours and the potentiality of computer problems.

You have to book in advance and pay at check-in. The member will need to call for you.

The Dining Plan is ALOT of food! We are big eaters, and it was too much for us. I gained 15 pounds in 10 days! It's a good deal, but be aware of just how much food you will be receiving. We decided that on the next trip we won't do the Dining Plan, because it will take me that long just to lose all 15 pounds.
