I'm looking to branch out for our next trip. We usually stay at WBC and rent from Vacation Strategy and we love it, but with all the new changes from Wyndham it has just gotten too high. I really want to stay in the lower $100's per night and they quoted me more than $200 per night for a 1 bdrm. We are going for spring break, so I know it will be higher, I just can't do that. Does anyone have suggestions for where to stay. We are looking at Windsor Hills, but I'm worried we won't like it as much. Also, I have looked at places like Vistana Villages, but where do you rent places like this from? Any ideas for places to stay that have a more resort feel and information on where to rent them from would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Your interest in a splash pad does limit you somewhat but there are a few places...

Sheraton Vistana Villages, as you mentioned, could be within your budget. (I am heading there next month, actually) I have found the best prices through Mousesavers (if you register for their newsletter, you get an even better discount).

Have you looked into Orange Lake Resort? I haven't stayed her myself but it does seem popular - https://www.ihg.com/holidayinnclubvacations/hotels/us/en/kissimmee/discv/hoteldetail

We have stayed in both a pool home and a townhouse in Lake Berkley before - this is a nice quiet, gated community but there is a small splash area. We are booked in a townhouse in Windsor at Westside next May. We haven't stayed at this particular resort before but it looks beautiful. We booked both of these through Homeaway (same company as VRBO)

Who do you book through for WBC?

When looking at properties on windsorhillsrent.com, is there any way to check reviews for a property?
Not sure about windsorhillrent.com, but we rented through this company. They only currently have condos and townhomes in Windsor Hills though, (no single family homes,) but I found his prices to be lowest for my dates. From the research I've done, he seems to get good reviews:

There are lots of other management companies in the area that have properties in Windsor Hills you can probably find reviews on.

Hi there, I would suggest Orange Lake resort. There is 2 splash pads, and it has a lot to do. I can't PM you, but if you would like information I can help you.

I would love some help. Surely there are other reputable timeshare rental companies and I just can't seem to locate them.

I do not know if they have a splash pad but have you looked at Floridays or Westgate Lakes?

Normally vacation strategy.

Sorry, you said that! Have prices significantly gone up? We already have a reservation for April, but it's for two three bedrooms and we've never reserved anything bigger than a two bedroom before. It's $174/night but we had to add a Saturday night the other day and it was $230 to add that...VS also changed their cancellation policy and some other policies since we made our reservation. Luckily they didn't charge us the $99 change fee!

We were trying to decide between WBC and Windsor Hills for our 2018 trip. We liked Windsor Hills for the private splash pools in the townhomes, and WBC for the more resort feel. Our quote from VS for WBC came in at double our quote for a townhome at Windsor Hills. Needless to say, we went with Windsor Hills. I've gotten quotes from VS in the past for WBC and it seemed like prices went up considerably?

For those wanting a better price for WBC I suggest looking on www.redweek.com. I use it for most of my rentals. There is an annual membership fee to join. However, you can browse without a fee. It will at least give you the opportunity to see what the prices are when renting directly from an owner. Also, Ebay has good rental prices too. I have never received a "REASONABLE" quote from Vacation Strategy. A week in a 2 bedroom at WBC for the summer was always quoted to me for over $1200. I find rentals on redweek and ebay and tug2 for WBC at $600 to $800 in 2 bedroom units. As I browse right now, some lucky family can rent a week at WBC in a 2 bedroom at the end of September for less than $600. Geez....I wish it were me!!!

Wanted to say thanks to everyone for the ideas. Many of the places listed look very nice. Ultimately it came down to price. Many of the resorts are similar in price to WBC, and if it were going to be close in price, I'd rather just stay there. To save some money and experience something new, we ended up booking Windsor Hills through vrbo. I liked having the reviews to look at. That's what made me hesitate about using windsorhillsrent.com. No way to know what other people thought. We didn't get a condo right at the pool, but rather across the street. Hopefully that will limit the noise and it won't be too far. Plus, we got what I would consider to be a super deal- less than $800 for a 3 bdrm for spring break! I'm excited about the splash play area for DS. He doesn't like our pool that much, but loves to run around a splash park. I know it won't be the same as WBC with the resort feel, and we are for sure going to miss the restaurants that we could just walk to from the pool, but I'm hopeful that we will still enjoy it.

If anyone is looking for a place before the end of the year, MouseSavers just sent out a great rate for the Holiday Inn suites with the water park (old Nickelodeon hotel). $75 per night! My kids are too small for the water park, but it looks really neat.

Thanks again!
