Rental size?

Looking for help in booking our rental car - not sure what size we should book. There are 3 adults and 2 kids - one in a carseat and one in a booster. The third adult is not large - could we do a full size? We just use the car as a shuttle to the parks and from airport. Probably looking at 3 suitcases - not much more. Last year we rented a mid-size SUV but never actually tried that out as we found a mini van in our aisle for the same price. The rental prices this year for March seem a lot higher and so I'm wondering what we can get away with. What are your thoughts? (we can always hope for another upgrade of course!)

I always rent a full size for 2 adults and 1 child (no booster seat). We have had trouble in the past fitting all of our luggage in the trunk and had a bag or 2 in the back seat with the child. Since your back seat will be full and you have 2 more people, unless you are an extremely light packer, you may have problems fitting luggage in a full size with all passengers. JMHO
