Rental Sites

Hello All -

I couldn't post this on the rental forum so sorry for putting it here. I am considering renting points from a site. Has anyone had good or bad experiences with David's Vacation Club or the **********. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I am using *******for our March trip. This is the first time I've rented points, and it has been a great experience so far. The owner has been very helpful with any questions I've had, and I really feel like I can trust him. His price is $12/pt, I think Dave's is $13. You can certainly get lower prices by going with personal owners on other sites, but I just don't feel like I can trust John Doe. At least with a business that has good references and has been doing this for awhile, I can rest a little easier and not be worried that they'd cancel my reservation out from under me. He has a Paypal site set up for you to easily use to make payments, and you can add dining plans/Magical Express, etc as needed.

Okay,

We have been to Disney 5 of the past 6 years, several times and we have always stayed in Deluxe Resorts (the economy was good). Well, seeing the dive in the economy and spoiled on the nice places, we figured we would finally check out renting someone's points. I looked all over the place at different ways to rent points: Directly from people, other rental places, etc, everywhere I could look. Well, I just took a chance on a Thursday and emailed ************** my request for availability from June 18-24 at Bay Lake Tower (we always wanted to stay there). They replied back the next day and spent the entire weekend emailing back and forth with me while my wife drove me nuts changing her mind (out of nervousness for renting points) on where and how long we wanted to stay. I have to say, the guy is SUPER professional, and we got exactly what we wanted, and even added a day because it was soooo much cheaper than staying in a resort at regular rate.

They honestly get my two thumbs up. I am truly one of the easiest people to work with on earth (usually), but my wife had to have made this a struggle for them with her constant changes. But, he was a champ and honestly was so kind and professional.

I have since raved about how he treated us. I would definitely suggest ************** over any one else we have dealt with. While he may not be a Disney employee, he still seems to have the magic!
