Can't say about the golf clubs, but I do remember that the jet ski rentals were shockingly expensive, something on the order of $50 per half hour. We went to check it out, and were amazed to learn that it's cheaper to rent water mice at WDW than it is to rent jet skis at OLCC. Unfortunately, we were too late to get to the water mice at that point, so we missed out entirely.
As for bidding on Skyauction.com, just keep checking for weeks until you find the week you want. Then reserve that week, and bid away on the Ready Set Go auctions. Do a search so you can see all of the auctions that are currently running, and keep track of all of them. If you work at it, you can win an auction for $50 or less ($265 total for the week). I definitely wouldn't bid more than $100, because there are plenty of auctions going. You can reserve the week you want, and win any of the RSG auctions to pay for that week.
