Do you mean purchase price per point? There is no such thing as an official rental price per point.

Can't speak to the progression through the years, but my family bought in February 1992 at $52 per point.

AND they got park admission with each stay through 1999. OMG how spoiled we were.

I found a document that listed the sales price from the beginning. I was looking for how much DVC owners charge to rent their points. I see the current rate is around $10 pp. Just wondering if anyone knows what the rates have been in the past.

Oh, yes! Can you imagine? I don't know when they stopped offering that, but in the early years, you got length-of-stay admission for a certain number of people (based on the size accommodation, I think).

In my parents' contract, this benefit came with every stay through the end of 1999. Our Millennium New Year's Eve trip (about 10 of us) was the last time we were able to get them.

Between that and the $52 per point, they made their investment back in about...5 minutes, I expect.

We made our first trip to WDW as a family in 1999. We stayed at CBR & felt the room was a bit cramped. For the next trip a year later, I discovered these boards & started looking into DVC.

We ended up getting an AP rate & staying in a studio at OKW. I researched renting points, but just wasn't confident enough in the whole process to rent from an unknown individual.

I do remember at the time though, that the going rate seemed to be around $10 per point. I'm sure there were some renting for a bit less, and some renting for a bit more - just like now.

I find it interesting that the rental prices really don't seem to have gone up much - everything else certainly has!
