We have found that we can save about $400 on airfare if we fly into sanford and drive the hour to the poly. However, is it worth it?
I'm having a hard time trying to find a rental site that gives a one-day rental fee partially because I'm not sure if we drop it off at a central location at Disney or the poly.
If there's a central location (is that the Disney Car Care Center that I saw referred to on another thread) to drop off, how do we get from there to the poly?

Also, would like to make a stop at a liquor store for some wine & possibly a grocery for some snacks. If we choose to fly into MCO, is this a possibility?

So confused!!!

National and Alamo have a counter at the Car Care Center - you should be able to return the car there. They also have a shuttle that will return you to the Polynesian; you may have a brief wait.

If you fly into MCO and use Magical Express, it stops nowhere between the airport and the resorts, so no you would not be able to pick up liquor.

The Disney Car Care center is on World Drive just south of the Poly, so it's very easy to get to from the Poly. As a PP mentioned, Alamo/National will take you back to the Poly on their (free) shuttle.

Another rental company that would work for you is Hertz. They have a location at Shades of Green which is a short walk from the Poly.
