Rental Home Overload-suggestions?

I have come to the conclusion that the condo that I thought I could get on Skyauction in Orlando is not going to be cost effective. In other words I can rent a house for the same money and we can all have a bedroom if we want.

There have been nice things said about Windsor Palms and I wondered if some of those people would be willing to give more infor as to the unit and negotiated price.

Also I think there are other communities close to Disney and I wondered if anyone could recommend any of them. We are travelling for two weeks in March which seems to be considered off season.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

We recently put a deposit on this 4 bdr house in Windsor Palms, we haven't seen it yet (we go end of April), but I can tell you the owners have been wonderful to deal with so far. We are going for 8 nights for about $1100, including pool heat, taxes and cleaning. The base rate for 8 nights is $920 for the week.

We only really needed a 3 bedroom, but the price difference was so little once we split it with my folks that we went for the 4 bedroom.

I am hoping our experience at WP is as good as other folks from the board, that is why we decided to go with WP in the first place.
I know what you mean about being on overload, there are so many to choose from, I had to narrow it down somehow.
Hope this helps and good luck!

We've used www.closesttodisney.com and will be again in Sept '04 and Jan'05.

We rented a 3bdrm condo last year in Windsor Palms for $64/nt plus tax. They have great terms and Simon is really easy to work with.

i'll be there at the end of feb for 10 days staying in a 4br in indian creek subdivision. i like that location a lot; this is the second year we'll be staying in the same house. i used www.frontlineflorida.com. very easy to reach the management company and reasonable rates.

We stayed at Windsor Palms in November and had a great experience. Its a very nice practically new gated complex of condos, townhomes and single homes. They are all privately owned and rented out (though I do think there are some permanent residents as well - we saw the school bus drop kids off a few times).

We found our unit at:

We dealt direct with the owner and she was wonderful to deal with.
