My husband has relented and we are going to Disney! :woohoo: All 9 of us...:scared1: We aren't going until June 2011 but I want to plan as much ahead of time as I can. That being said, we will need to rent a car. We are driving our Suburban but with our crew, we will need another car for sure. Are there any car rental companies that will allow us to rent in Texas and drive to Florida without extra fees?

Unless you plan on returning it to a different location there shouldn't be extra fees for driving it across state lines. Just make sure you have unlimited mileage included in your rate.

I've never had this problem, and I've rented one-way. National is my company of choice, but I've driven from WDW to NYC with no add'l charges, round trip from NYC with no charges, and even NYC to WDW with no charges.

Just do as PP said and make sure you have unlimited mileage, and you should be able to travel within the contiguous 48... and possibly Canada and Mexico.

Great! Thanks! I was pricing out cars and the one I was looking at said that there were fees if the car was driven to any state other than Texas or Louisiana. I guess I need to do some more looking!
