Usually we would rent a car at the airport and drive to our hotel but I find this ends up being a waste since we just spend most of our days at the parks and we're not really getting any use out of the rental car. Maybe one day we might want to do something different beside going to the park and go out and take a drive. We'll probably stay at Pop Century in early January. Do the Disney hotels offer rental cars?

Your on-property options for renting a car are pretty limited.

There's an Alamo and a National (I think those are the two companies) at the car care center outside of the Ticket and Transportation Center lot. But getting there can be problematic. I've heard they have free shuttles, but I'm not too certain. You may want to ask around about that.

Your other option is to go to the Downtown Disney Hotels.

At the Doubletree, there's a Budget. At the Hilton, there's an Avis. At the Courtyard (soon to be Holiday Inn), there's a Dollar. I don't know if the change over to Holiday Inn will affect the Dollar location, but even if it does, there's two other locations within that area to get a car.
