Rental Car

Not sure which forum I need to place this question. I was thinking about getting a rental car the last few days of my vacation, is there on WDW property to rent one and if not any suggestion. I have relatives I would like to visit for a day.

There's a National and Alamo Rental at the Dolphin Hotel and Shades of Green. I think there are a few others at the Downtown Disney hotels.

Alamo has a spot, it's called the Walt Disney Car Care Center, where they will provide shuttle service back and forth to your hotel. We did it last year. It is on Disney property. I believe it is different from the one at the Dolphin/Swan, but not positive.

Yes, the Car Care Center is a different location.

Where is the car care center located? We have to get the shuttle there and wonder how close it is to POR where we are staying.

the car care rental will send a shuttle to your hotel to pick u up and take u to the car center and then bring u back to the hote. I think you need to give a couple hours of notice.

The CCC is very close to MK and the MK resorts. We rented a car from National, thru their web site (Emerald Isle discount link thru mousesavers.com). We called the CCC National rep a day before to arrange a pick up at the Poly. A shuttle took us from the Poly to the CCC, took about 2 minutes. The National rep was waiting for us outside, gave us the keys, signed paperwork and was driving out the CCC in under 5 minutes.

This year we are staying at the YC and are dropping off our National car at the Dolphin hotel. Hopefully it will be easy too

Thanks! I looked on Google Earth and it looks like it is near the Richard Petty Driving Experience. After we get the car we are gonna head to Winn Dixie on Apopka Vineland for groceries and back to POR. Shouldn't take long at all.
