Hi, have never rented a car at MCO but contemplating renting one from Alamo or National at the Disney car center and dropping it off at the airport when we leave. Rate looks suprisingly low for a one way
rental.

Anyway, wondering how much extra time to allow at the airport to return the car on our departure day? The rental return is right next to the terminal, so not much extra time needed?

We always rent a car, and typically from Alamo. It should take you no more than 5 minutes, 10 tops, to return the car. What we do is drive to the Departing flights, check our luggage with curbside check-in, then proceed to dropping off the car. That way you have less luggage to carry into the terminal. You literally drive up and into the garage, following the signs for rental car return. They'll wave you into a "row" and you begin unloading your stuff. By then, a worker will come around and check the car out, check the fuel, and print you a receipt from a handheld device. I'd be surprised if driving from the departing flight area through getting your receipt took more than 10 minutes. Hope that helps!

Returning to Alamo/Avis/Budget at MCO is easy. (never happened to rent National there). You simply follow airport signs which direct you where you need to go to drop off the car. Doesn't matter A or B terminal, the car rental places are at both.....

You'll pull into a line of other returning cars. As you unload your luggage, someone with a hand held gizmo walks around the car, asks if you had any problems, checks the gas tank and mileage. Then a receipt is printed on the spot, and you are on your way....Then its just a short walk to the terminal.

easy.:thumbsup2
