rental car question

If we rent a car and DH puts it in his name, is he the only one allowed to drive. Would I be able to drive too? How about DB-in-law?

It all depends, you can have additional drivers added to your rental policy, however if you do not then by law you would not be able to drive the car.

Some companies allow 1 additional driver at no charge. You would have to research each company you plan on renting from. Also the additional drivers would need to be there when you check in for the car.

We usually rent w/ national. They allow spouses at no charge. Just need to be there, and show both driver's license.
