Rental Car Pricing?

I have booked an Avis car for our upcoming vacation .

Tonight when I checked the price it went down a bit, so I cancelled and re booked.

When I checked the price I didnt change my country to Canada. When I made the reservation I put country of origin in as Canada.

The price was almost 100$ more!! I went back and changed the country to USA and bingo ! I get the cheaper price I found the first time.

And Yes I was comparing usd to usd

How is that fair>

That happens to me to with alamo. So I just leave it USA and nothing has ever happened to me.
I agree very unfair. Don't they know we are better drivers up here. LOL

And sometimes it is the exact opposite. I usually play with the Canada/USA thing and I have yet to be called on it. Most of the car companies do it. It seems to happen when they know Canadians travel to certain places at certain times of the year.

They are so screwy! I entered our origin country as Canada with Dollar and our price came out way cheaper! Guess it pays to just try them both!
