Rental car - Priceline?

Has anyone used Priceline for a rental car? We are going to Denver for 13 days this summer. I'm trying to figure out how to get the best price on a rental car.
Any experience using Priceline?

I found Priceline to be best for midweek rentals for which you wouldn't be able to use a coupon for. With the codes/coupons on Mousesavers, you can usually do much better if you reserve directly with the rental car company.

Also, you can check prices periodically and rebook if the rates go down, something you can't do with Priceline.

We did it in MCO two years ago it was great. Car rental company ended up being Hertz and we ended up in a Crown Victoria - we needed a large car - as we had 5 people traveling. The price was significantly lower than if we had rented directly from them.
