Rental Car pickup... flight changed to 1h 45m earlier arrival

So, I just had a flight change that gets me into Las Vegas 1h 45 minutes earlier than scheduled. I went to change my rental car pickup time with Payless and it would not accept it, saying the discount code I used cannot be used now with the changed reservation.....

The actual duration of the reservation is still that same, which is 5 days.

Pickup 9:30pm Drop off 6:30pm
New
Pickup 8:00pm Drop off 6:30pm

Will Payless hassle me when I show up at 8pm since my pick up time is supposed to be 9:30 or what are your thoughts? I plan to just tell them the airline changed my flight time getting me there earlier..... at worst, I have to wait for a car, but this is Vegas where there are tons of people renting and cars in and out....

Thoughts?

If you were using one of the major chains I would say no issues.

However, Payless is one of those that is known for thier abiltiy to "tack" on fees etc so there is a risk. However, it's a trek to that rental car location so you might not be as early as you expect

True. Plane lands at 7:20, then we have to go to baggage claim, then the shuttle to the rental facility......
