Rental Car Pick Up Question

Wondering what companies have it so you can go straight to the garage and pick up your car and avoid the rental car counter ? I know we have done this once when arriving in Ft Lauderdale but dont remember the details. Our last trip to WDW was in Feb, we booked with Alamo thru Costco and got to the counter to pick up and the line was crazy long. Is it possible to book thru costco and not go to the counter ? Thanks for info / advice we will be arriving Saturday Sept 21.

Yes, we do it all the time. The confirmation email from Costco also has the Alamo confirmation number. You can use that to do online check in and skip the counter registration on the Alamo website. When you get to Orlando, bring your paperwork, go to the aisle with the car class you reserved then head to the gates...the person in the booth will scan it all in and give you whatever paperwork they generate. You'll need to have your driver's license and I think your credit card available.

Sign up for Alamo Insiders. Our last rental I had to do online check in to be able to go straight to the car and go. As was mentioned bring your paperwork showing you have done the check in, license, and CC. I was able to get the car and go in about 3 minutes.

I do the online check in at home for Alamo. No need to join the Insdiers club to do this we are not a member of the club and can check in online. We just did this 2 weeks ago and did not require being a member of the Insiders Club. Printed our papers at home went straight out and got in a car

If you go through Costco, can the designated second driver ( my BIL) pick up the car at MCO if I give him my credit card? I was thinking about renting through the Car Care Center and have him come via magical express but didn’t know about a good inventory of cars available at the CCC. We will be on property with family coming later. Don’t need the car until they get here. Any suggestions?

I've rented from the CCC for a 1 day off property trip to universal. I notified them the day before, and they sent a shuttle to my resort to pick me up...very nice! They also took me back to my resort when I returned the car.
