Rental car pick-up at 11:30 PM

I have never arrived this late before and was wondering if anyone is manning the desks at this time. Should I try to make a reservation with one of the companies that lets you walk up to the car? Would love to hear from anyone who has done this. Thanks !

We got to the Budget counter at MCO around midnight last November and there was someone there. It looked like most of the car rental counters were staffed. The nice thing was that there was no line. The type of car we reserved was available too.
