rental car credit card question

Does anyone know how much of a hold they put on your credit card when you rent the car. We got a package with a car so i wasnt to sure. Thanks Michelle

It varies but you could and should ask.

You will probably want to use a credit card for the entire package because that is the only way the credti card will cover the car collision waiver (if the card has that feature).

It is also a good idea to have more than one credit card just in case some restaurant or hotel or rental agency mistakenly puts too much of a hold.
