With Alamo, do you have a better selection of vehicles to chose from earlier in the day, or do people tend to drop off later?

I'm asking because for our trip in October, sis and I are flying in a few days ahead of everyone else. Our flight lands at 1:30 pm. The rest of the gang will arrive 4 days later late at night. We are staying at the Dolphin then the Swan, so we will all need to get to the resort a way that is not DME.

Is it smarter for sis and I to pick up the rental and let the other 3 take Uber, or is it smarter for the late comers to pick up the rental, and save a few bucks on the car? I can't decide which way makes more sense. Thoughts????

Have you priced out both options?

Yes. The difference is less than $100. And if we end up letting the late comers get the car we will be using a taxi to get to a couple of ADRs.

Why do you need a rental car at all? Why don't both groups just take Uber to the S/D?

Sis likes having a rental. She hates the buses.

Then she has to make sure she’s on the rental car to drive. Which requires her to be there. So she needs to pick it up.

And I personally would go get the rest of the party when they arrive a few days later.

The time of day you pick up makes no difference at MCO. Cars come and go all day long. I've come in early morning, early evening and late evening.....seen either plenty of cars or nothing at all, in which case you get a free upgrade. Last trip the compact aisle was filled with about 15 minivans.
