Rental car at Tampa airport

My DH and I are going house hunting next week and we'll have to rent a car for a couple of days. We are flying in to the Tampa airport. Does anyone know of any good deals for renting a car there?

We used Priceline last August and got a midsized car for $15/day. The going rate at the time was $63/day. We were actually part of a group going on a cruise so we rented 4 cars and all got that rate.

no help on discounts, but please be aware of the HEAVY pressure tactics the agents use to purchase insurance...we have booked cars at RSW, MCO, SRQ, FLL and TPA...man, TPA agents are the worst! There is pressure to get the extra ins since they try to claim if the car is unable to be used due to an accident whatever, you could be billed for the entire time it is in repair...ONLY if the company has absolutely no other cars in it's fleet can they claim this hardship. If you use a MasterCard it offers extra coverage right there, on top of your own auto. Look into your personal coverage...we always decline but they are relentless for the upsell.

There are many off off site rental places in tamPA. I drove past a bunch yesterday when I was shopping in town and I kept thinking of how many people get rentals and end up so far away.
