Ok we are new owners (bought less than a year ago) We did a small contract (60 points) because we wanted to pay cash instead of finance and we had that much at the time. We are planning to add on later, but for our trip this year we are going to have to do some renting/transferring/borrowing.
So I have read and searched for my answers, but I want to make sure I am clear
#1 - we need about 30 points to reach what we need for our vaca.
#2 - if we find someone to rent those from they can do a transfer essentially giving us these points (after they receive payment)?
#3 say we book a ressie at our home resort (SSR) at 11 months - will those "transferred points" need to be from SSR?
(here's where is get's tricky)
Say we need 150 for our ressie at SSR we have
25 banked
50 current year
25 we are going to borrow from 2014
50 - renting (transferring)
=150 for the ressie.
but at 6 months we find a resort that uses less points (125)and we switch resorts...
what about extra 25.....if they are borrowed do they go back to 2014, or will we now be stuck with 25 in the 2014 year that we now have to use.
I know I am probably making this more complicated than necessary, but I want to make sure before I make a mistake
