My youngest 2 will be 23 and 11 months on out trip. I am bringing our graco Duo Glider. I just need to buy a rain cover for it.

Thanks for noticing! The one pushing the hippo is Lydia. She is slower in her development and still needs the push toys for walking. Madeline gets in them or on them and Lydia pushes her all around! We have a Radio Flyer Walker Wagon that we can't keep Madeline out of.

I'm a big fan of the DuoGlider, too! I think the DuoRider will be really good for the parks. I just don't like using it for running errands and such because it is hard to fold and unfold. I'm so quick with the DuoGlider now that I can have it out and them both in it in 46.2 seconds!

Nobody has mentioned the Kohlcraft double umbrellas yet, so I'll chime in. You can get them at Toys'R'Us and some Walmarts. They run around $70 and fold up almost as small as a single umbrella. They have sunshades on top and large storage compartments on top and back. Easy to get on and off buses and airplanes, etc. We loved it for our two kids who were nearly three and four on their first trip to Disney! Good luck pushing them around in whatever you use!

I just got a Jeep/Kolcraft double umbrella stroller. I was unsure about it, but I got it for $69 at Walmart.com and with a wandering 4 year old, it will be perfect for the mall and of course, for WDW! The ONLY bad thing about it is that it doesn't have storage baskets. But that's fine with me!!! When the kids are in it, we will be able to hang our stuff from the handles. Plus it comes with two storage bags (small ones) on either side of the stroller. I think I will be fine!

I was so happy to have my own stroller, especially when I saw that the rentals were hard plastic(except for mgm) They look uncomfortable to me and many people said that they had a hard time finding theirs once it was parked. We drove to FLA, but used Disney trans. the entire time. What worked for us on the buses was sitting towards the back, near the handicapped section. The stroller fit perfectly under the seats there! Even if we didn't get to those seats first, every person we asked were more then happy to lift their feet for a moment and let us put it below. It saved a lot of hassle on the bus.

One of the responses below stated that backpacks or wagons (anything pulled behind you) are not allowed. Backpacks are placed on the back. Are these not allowed? I have seen other threads showing backpacks that are lightweight and our recommended. I bought one from Eddie Bower that is not lightweight but is insulated for water and also has a built in cutting board for my husband to cut my daughter's fruit or cheese.

One other question...we were thinking of renting a double stroller. One side for her and one side for the backpack! We would not leave our camera etc in stroller when we went on a ride but what about other belongings? Are they safe? Or do we need to bring our backpack with us?

You can definitely carry your backpack on your back- I think the poster was referring to those backpacks on wheels that can be pulled like a small piece of luggage. In January, we left our backpack with diapers and extra clothing in the stroller when we went on rides and took valuables like cameras with us. Our stroller and belongings were safe and nobody bothered anything, but we didn't leave anything valuable- just jackets and diapers!

I go to Disney atleast once per year and have brought my children everytime. The first few times I brought our own stroller but found this to be a hassle going on the airplane, off the airplane, and into the rental car. It was a bigger stroller and harder to manage, especially on Disney busses when it is busy. Over the last year I have found it easier to go to Walmart in Orlando and purchase a new one. It has an umbrella, storage under the stroller, and reclines. We usually go for 8 to 10 days so we get lots of use out of it. The stroller only costs between $25 to $30 and when you are finished you can give it to another family or Goodwill. I luckily have family in Florida and would just give it to them to get rid of. For longer stays the stroller would only cost $2 to $3 dollars per day and is new when you get it. This type of stroller has worked really well in the past and doesn't cost alot.

While it is handy to rent the strollers in the park and not have to fuss with them otherwise, it is helpful to have that stroller to get around the resorts, to and from the monorails/boats/busses on days with long lines and stuff. I have posted before regardingthis situation...we recently went w/o our own stroller w a 2 1/2 year old. While it was conveninant not to have a stroller to check at the airport or to have to fuss with, it would have been nice to have outside of the parks as well!
