Rent a bicycle - cost - Ft. Wilderness

Hello all!

How much does it cost per day to rent a bicycle from the bike barn at Fort Wilderness. We would like to rent bikes from 5pm Thursday through 11pm Saturday and are wondering what the total price would be.

The last I looked it was $18 per day for a bike. The bad thing is they have to go back each night at 5 p.m.

If possible you should bring them with you.

Donnie is right bikes have to be back by 5pm. Like carts there are companys that rent bike and bring them to the fort for you. Can't tell you there name but it has be talked about on here before you just have to look them up

Oh, I didn't even think of looking for an outside co-I'm not the OP, but thanks! My kids would like to have their bikes, but I can't use my bike hitch since we are taking the AutoTrain down to FL (everything must be inside the vehicle). I'm going to look it up!

If anyone has info for outside bike rentals, that would be great. Still considering a golf cart, but bikes would be fine too.

We have rented from Richie's Bike Shop for the last couple of years. Last summer we got 3 bikes for around $90. for a week! Delivery is included in the price. Their number is (407) 529-5237.

This is good info. I don't get why Disney doesn't let you keep them overnight. maybe a theft thing, I dunno. We take a cart and our bikes when we go so that we can ride to WL and the pool. The pool and campfire area are definately bike friendly areas and carts congest it. Not saying bad about carts but the fort made that area unfriendly by limiting access.

Donnie can’t tell you when it changed but 70’s – 90’s bike where rents for 24 hrs. I’m with you it is nice to have a way to get around the fort after hours

Disney is no longer willing to accept liability for guests riding around Ft Wilderness after dark. They do not put headlights on the bikes; so if anyone asks, they simply say they cannot rent them past 5:00 because they don't have lights.
