Renovations on Magic?

We've heard that the Magic may be going through some changes during dry-dock this Fall. We're on the Magic's first cruise after that (10/11 -- our first cruise -- we are refugees from last year's 11/30 cancellation). We've heard that the ESPN Lounge will be made into a teen-spot, one of the nightclubs into a sports bar and the current teen area into a coffee house? Any info on any of this?

That is what people have posted here. The only thing that is not clear is whether or not the coffee house (common ground) will remain a teen only spot or open to all adults?? But ESPN is changing to a teen club and Off Beat is turning into a sports pub.

My understanding is that what is now Common Grounds will be a coffee bar/reading room, open to all, or possible for adults only. What is now Off Beat will be re-themed into a tavern type of bar, and the ESPN Sky Box will become the teen club. Apparently the same changes will be made to the Wonder when it goes to drydock next year.

We are going to be on the Magic on 10/18/03 and have a 13 year old son. Will all of the teen programs still be offered now that the ship has been renovated and the Common Grounds turned into an adult coffee shop?

Also how do you make the count down to trip show up on your post?

My understanding from reading the various posts and information available is that all the teen programs will definitely still be offered. In fact, the teens should have more room with the move of the teen club to where the ESPN Skybox is right now.

Someone please do correct me if I've got that mixed up some how.

Just go to the top of page 1. There is a new topic called "Disney Cruise Line News". It spells out all of the renovations to be made on the Magic while in dry dock.
