Renovations at the Renasaince Marriott? How bad is it?

Have friends thinking about staying at the Renassaince and heard they have some renovations going on. What are they doing to it? How bad is it? Any info would be appreciated.

I was there a few weeks ago. If you're just looking for a place to lay your head and don't plan on sleeping in, it should be fine. The rooms are large and nice. They even give you a little toy Shamu for the tub! That said, they look like they are only about 1/4 of the way done with the rennovations. There were jackhammers going in the lobby the entire day, starting fairly early in the morning. Many areas were sectioned off. I was at a conference, and some of the attendees were having allergy attacks from the construction dust. If I got a great rate, I would probably go back during the construction. If not, I'd wait.
