Renovated Villas at Old Key West Resort

My family and I are staying at Old Key West for the first time next month and we've heard that a lot of the villas have been renovated there. We're booked for a Studio and were wondering if anyone had any photos of the renovated rooms. If so, would you please post? Thank you!

We thought the rehab was very nice, but as I've read elsewhere, if you're an "active sleeper", watch out for those mattresses! ha!

Reno is complete and I loved the mattresses. Firm yet very comfortable!! Enjoy your trip!

Thank you Chic! I've read that this resort has become the favorite DVC resort for many. I can't wait for our stay!

I never saw the rooms before the renovation, but I can say that they are very nice now. I will definitely be going back.
The only small thing I did not like (that I think is new) are the roman shades on the doors to the balcony. They look ok but they are a real pain to raise and lower. Also I can't imagine that the pull cords that work them are going to last long. But overall I think the renovated rooms look great.

We haven't stay at OKW since 2007 and we are so excited to see the renovated rooms. Thanks for the info.

The only small thing I did not like (that I think is new) are the roman shades on the doors to the balcony. They look ok but they are a real pain to raise and lower. Also I can't imagine that the pull cords that work them are going to last long.

So true. One of my family members actually sliced his finger while trying to close the blinds on the glass door with the handle on it...you just get so close to the blinds while using the pull cord.

We stayed in a renovated studio and it was absolutely gorgeous! The pics on that site don't really do it justice, I loved the colors. The wood blinds and striped shades were awesome too.
