Renovated-room snobs ?

Anyone else prefer to stay at resorts with new or recently renovated rooms ?
I hate worn carpeting and furniture.
With all the supposed rehabs due - so far, Boardwalk, Beach Club, CBR and CSR, it makes choosing a resort for next year very difficult !
Wonder if they will put in flat screens tvs in the moderates
Cant wait to see the new room designs.

Given the choice I would pick a newly rehab'd room. Doesn't everyone like new things?

Yeah ... I don't think it's snobbery to want a cleaner, fresher room for the same money. More like sensible.

Ditto. It just makes the trip nicer when the room is fresh, clean, and new. I will say that we stayed at the BWI a couple years ago and thought back then how much it needs a rehab, so I'm glad they're finally doing it because it's an awesome place to stay.

Honestly, I dont care either way. A room is a room to me. I get a good CM discount so I can't complain for whatever I get. I saw the newly renovated BW room and it's just awesome

If wanting a newly refurbed room is snobbery - then - I'm a snob. I love new things. Who doesn't?

Yes, I admit I am. I just changed from Pop to All Star Sports for our December trip because of this. And June 2009 we'll stay at CSR, though we love it there and the renovation is just one more perk...

OK - count me in! Call me crazy but I'll admit it - I would take a newly refurbished room in almost any category over one that isn't. I really like feeling like a room is new . I'm so excited to try the newly refurbished rooms at BWI and CSR - can't wait for next year!!

Yea count me in, I love having a recently renovated room...don't forget about the POLY, I was there about a year and a half ago in one of the newly renovated rooms and I loved it! The decor and design was so nice and we loved having the flat screen tv....some people don't care where they stay bc they say they won't be in the room that much, but for me having a nice hotel room really adds to my stay.

I absolutely prefer to stay in a renovated room. I always read about hotels on tripadvisor before we go anywhere, not just Disney. If someone says they are renovating the rooms - I always request one!
