I want to surprise my wife with a trip to DW and renew our vows there. I've checked out the website and ordered the free kit. Anyone have an experience with the packages to point me in the right direction.

Our Wedding Board should be able to help you out. I am moving this over so you may receive replies. Thank you.

We have a lot of VR brides over here!!!!!! Cam is super sweet and I'm sure she will give you a lot of info!!!!

How sweet of you to do that for your wife..when do you plan on doing it?

The basic outdoor wedding/vow renewal package (the only difference is the license) is $4,500 and includes cake, Champagne, 2 hours of photos, 4 hours of limo, a violinist, a bouquet and boutonniere, and 2 annual passes. To have an indoor ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion is $5,500.

Check out http://www.disneyweddings.go.com/site/gate/index.jsp :thumbsup2

Is it just you and your wife? If so, the package described is perfect. I just had a wishes vow renewal because we had about thirty guests! :goodvibes It is a bigger more expensive package! Your wife will love your surprise :lovestruc

Wow! $4500 just to have a simple ceremony to renew your vows? I wanted to do that next year with my dh & our kids but forget it! That is way too much! Do they have any other cheaper ceremonies?

Congrats to the OP!

You can do an add-on Vow Renewal package on the Disney Cruise Line for less. I believe it's $1,500 (on top of the cost of the cruise) for onboard vow renewals and $2,500 for Castaway Cay vow renewals. There's info on the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings site posted above.

yes..mine is $1500...if I was booked on an October cruise, I think a 7 day cruise and VR would be less than $4500

Thanks to everybody for helping. Do any of you know how DVC fits into the equation? Maybe I use points to book a crusie, renew the vows there, then come back and stay at DW. I know some of the wedding packages have mandatory stays, does DVC qualify I guess is the question. Also, probably a max of 10 people attending.:surfweb:

My DVC points were used at my vow renewal and they counted as 40 room nights so yes, my DVC rooms covered my minimums and then some :thumbsup2

You should look into the Swan and Dolphin too, I think they have a cheaper option. there is some great info on the Planning Journal Page on someones PJ.
