I wonder if anyone can help with a surprise I am trying to organise for my wife? I would like to rnew our wedding vows when we are there in December this year. Anyone know how to go about this? :lovestruc

Not sure how to do this cheif, as not married however would guess the following.

Speak to Disney ask about booking the wedding Pavillion near the Grand Floridian(I think), then that should do the business, I might be wrong but would think this could be the way to go. All the best and great suprise!! :thumbsup2

check out the disneyweddings.com site and also the weddings forum on here - great bunch and so many knowledgeable (sp?) people.

What a nice thing to do, you're a lovely man :thumbsup2

i renewed my vows at the poly a number of years back. did you book through an agent or diy? we used the agents package at the time and it was treated just like a marriage except you didn't have to go get a license from the court house (don't know if this has changed). It was wonderful the service was great, our wedding planner phoned the day before to check all the details, we picked our own tunes to be played throughtout the ceremony. You can even arrange someone to come to your room to have your makeup done, well your wifes makeup. by chance as we wee waiting in the lobby of the poly the singer from the laua was going by and we got our ow personal polyenesian wedding song right there and then. it was a hard job for me not to cry and ruin my make up. the service was top notch. By the way i think thats a wonderful surprise that your planning and what a great thought.

What a wonderful idea

There are lots of lovely places to renew wedding vows too as well as onsite at WDW which is extremely expensive!

We renewed our vows in a wedding chapel on ID - Royal wedding chapel.
Im in Italy right now but can give you more details when we get home in Aug if you like :thumbsup2

There are a few options for onsite at Disney! The cheapest package is $2750 which includes a ceremony, flowers + botton hole, a cake and a champagne reception (30mins) if you want to do it at the wedding pavillion i think its another $500 or so!

You can also do a vow renewal at the swan or dolphin hotel through a company called just marry! i know a few people have gone through them as its still on disney property but without the disney price tag.

whilst i dont think you need a marriage licence from the court house i think you need to take the original marriage document as proof!

Put a post on the wedding boards here on the Dis - there should be plenty of advice there! i wouldnt have been able to plan my disney wedding nearly as well with out that board!!

Our vow renewal, at the Wedding Chapel, cost around £350 including hire of a stretch limo to take us from the Villa and back.

Any of the wedding packages can be used for a vow renewal :sunny:
There were just 7 of us - myself, DH, DD and 4 friends (2 who lived there and 2 on holiday)

It wasnt a Disney renewal but was far more affordable and great fun :thumbsup2

Oh, and we didnt need to take our marriage license for the Royal Chapel :goodvibes
