Renewing my AP - ce-multiadvantages or at the park?

So, the situation is :
DH has a dream pass valid until 08/13. I & my 2 daughters (1 of which is under 7) have a Fantasy AP, expiring 11/12. We are all going back on the first week of Dec, but DH & I will be visiting for a day next week.

So I am wondering should I renew them next week while I'm there (do they still add 6 mths extra free?) at a cost of E477 :scared1:, or purchase them through CE at a cost of E250? When we were going in Aug of this year we tried to purchase an AP from CE for DH & despite emails from them saying it had been sent out, it never arrived & it then transpired that they hadnt even processed it in the first place - this we discovered after we came home & checked if the money had come off the credit card. We had ordered if about 3 weeks before we went. As a result he had to buy one at the gates when we arrived. I'm wondering how reliable others have found them to be and whether or not I'm crazy to be considering trying to use them again! Also, looking at their site, the APs they are selling are for delivery from 15th November, which should give us plently of time for them to arrive before we go on the 2nd Dec, or would I be cutting it a bit fine in case they don't arrive again? Or would they send them out sooner, but they would only be valid from 15th Nov?

Any suggestions or experiences of CE welcome.

I'm suprised by CEM as I've only heard good things and not known anyone have a bad experience :confused3

Why don't you try through Promoparcs, same thing but they already have new AP stock and are sending them out

On site you still get 6 months free but we didn't bother this year as we got our AP's during a flash sale and it worked out cheaper :)

Something to bare in the mind. Not sure if this will be the case this year, but ticket pricing has a nasty habit of being increased on November 1st in previous years.

because you still have one child aged under 7, I'd renew at least one of the passes you have to pay for through cemultiavantages or promorparcs, to get a free childs AP.

You do still get 6 months free on renewal at DLP, or 15% discount if you're a shareholder (but not both so you have to decide which is the better deal for you). You can't, as far as I know, renew a pass at DLP until you are within 30 days of the current one running out.

I just used promoparcs with no problem - our tickets arrived within the week :thumbsup2

I actually have two free under 7s fantasy passes but only need one so you can have the spare if you want it (assuming you'll be able to use it if you're buying the other tickets in the park). PM me if you'd like it.

Hi Karen

We used CEM earlier this year twice. I bought Dream APs for DH & DD1 (she was over 7) and got a free one for DD2 (under 7). There were no issues and they came quickly. I later bought myself an AP from them at a later date, again, no issues.

I would have been annoyed with what happened but I've always found them so helpful....

I can't recall but I'm sure the postage is 'signed for' service so they would have known they hadn't sent them/they hadn't been delivered - very odd :confused3

Ours expire June 13 and if we are going back next year (not sure at the moment) then we will get APs again. But not sure whether to renew with DLP and get 6 months free or try and pick up a CEM or Promoparcs deal - guess we'll have to do the maths at the time.

Have a great trip next week - did I read correctly and it's just you and your DH? How nice to have an adult only trip if it is :thumbsup2.

Are you staying at the Marriott in December?

I think I'll try CE again. We have already paid the E20 registration, so might as well get the use of it! I found them very good at answering emails - just gave us the wrong info. It's good to know that others had no problems, so maybe we were just a one off. I will be within the 30 days of our APs running out, but the amount of money saved is such a big factor.

Thanks for the offer, but I won't need it as I'll get one when I renew my AP & I'll just be needing the one.

Good to know that you had a good experience with CE. And you did read correctly - it is an adult only trip. We're supposed to be going to Paris on a break, but I managed to persuade DH that we should visit Disney too while we're there. And yes, we are staying at the Marriott again in December. I love the Marriott & so do the kids. It's great to have the pool & playroom there too in case of really bad weather. That trip is to celebrate the end of the grammar school entrance exams. DD1 (aged 10) has 4 consecutive Saturdays of exams, finishing on the 1st Dec, which is also DD2's 6th birthday. We fly out 2nd - 7th Dec. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Ooh enjoy the trip with your DH - how nice, time in Paris alone!! DH and I are hoping to get a weekend away on our own next Spring sometime to celebrate a few things and I'm thinking Paris (and a sneeky trip to DLP - if I can persuade him!). Think he wants to go to Rome though :rotfl2:. I'd love to do the Park tour but wouldn't consider with my girls, they are too little and just want to ride/catch characters at this age - fair enough!

Thought you'd be at the Marriott in December. I still haven't stayed there - can't seem to break from the DLH :rotfl2: But, if we do back to DLP next year as a family then I'm totally sold on the SL - love the look of the hotel and it's the one I really want to stay in next!

Hope you get sorted with your APs :).
