Renewing kids' passports

Passport changes this year? What have they changed? TYIA! Cheers!

10 years ago there was a big push to get passports as the new Western whatever law went into effect. Therefore, 10 years later a lot of those passports are up for renewal (including ours). So, everybody is anticipating a big surge of passport renewals next year which may lengthen the time to receive them back.

Nothing. But people worry it will be busier as those in non-compliant states (for the REAL ID thing) get passports for domestic travel and getting into govt buildings. But the govt has given another reprieve of it, for air travel.

I'm in a non compliant state (go WA!) but we also have enhanced DLs and I already have a passport, so I won't be clogging the system.

Quick update for passport renewal time line - still three weeks like the PP. Hopefully it will stay that way!
