Renewing AP

I currently have the platinum pass that will be expiring mid January.
If I get the gold pass instead this time will I still get the renewal rate?

Yes. You may have to call MS, though. Don't believe the option to "downgrade" via renewal shows on the official website.

Great! Thank you! If i renew before my expiration date it will just add a year to the end of it or a year from the renewal date?

If you do it by Jan 3, you will get 13 months. I had to call MS to get a renewal, the web site didn't have the option.

Mine doesn't expire until the 18th though, so instead of the extra month wouldn't I only be getting an extra 2 weeks or so? Or would it add the 13 months to the 18th not the 3rd?

The renewal starts on the day your current AP expires. So you should be covered until Feb 18th 2018. Just because you buy it early, up to 60 days, you still get the original date, also true if you wait until 30 days after, but you will miss out on the special 13 month offer if not done by Jan 3rd 2017

I thought it would renew jan 3rd so I wasn't planning on renewing early but I will now. Thanks! Will I have to go to guest relations again once I renew to "Activate"?

Poo The first day we're there we are going to MK after we check in. We won't have a car so I guess I'll be taking the bus to MK and hopping on the monorail to go to ticket and transportation. Hopefully theres no snow nonsense here so our flight arrives on time and we make our fast passes with this additional stop!

No need to go to TTC. GR outside or inside MK can renew your AP.
