This has probably been asked and answered, but ...

My DVC-discounted annual pass expires next week while I'm at WDW. Can I go to the international gateway at Epcot to get my renewal? My pass is good thru October 4th, but do I need to renew right on October 5, or do I have some sort of grace period. ie: if we weren't going to go to the parks on the 5th and 6th can I renew on the 7th?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think you get a little time - but not much. Ask at a guest services at Epcot or IG - and yes you can renew at IG.

there is a grace period but I don't remember what it is. As long as you're not going to the parks after OCT 4 I believe your OK to do it later.

If you don't need the pass till your next trip (whenever) IMO it's not a big enough discount to renew. Depending when your next trip is you could lose a month or more on the pass.

Remember when you renew the pass starts the next day or same day. no voucher on renewals

like spiceycat said check with GS

The grace period is 30 days so you can renew on the 7th. You could also renew on the 4th or even earlier if that works for you but your anniversary date will remain October 4th regardless.

is really the most pertinant information. The only reason to renew on the 7th would be to push back the anniversary date, but since that doesn't happen, I guess I'll just do it when we're in the parks on the 4th.

Thanks for all the responses.

Decide what's more important to you: renewing on the 4th to save $32 or buying a brand new AP on the 7th for $32 more than you would have spent on a renewal. You are not required to renew that AP you have. You can purchase a brand new one on the 7th and it will run for one year starting then. It can make a big difference if you need those three extra days in October of 2007.
