Renew Vows for 25th Anniversary

Hi everyone! Just found this forum and i think it is great. My DH and i just celebrated our 23rd Anniversary last week. We have 3 boys in college this year. We own a vacation home in Kissimme (for the last 7 years) and that is how i fell in love with Disney World. I was a cast member at a DisneyStore in Illinois for 4 years and we built our home at that time / and took our first trip to Disney World. My DH isn't quite as enthusiastic - but he is a good sport and loves it when i am happy! lol

We eloped for our wedding (my first / his second) and are thinking of making our 25th a family affair. How do you go about finding out about the all of the different weddings Disney has to offer? Is it better to book something now?

Hi Mary... I am also from Illinois (West Dundee), and we just got married at Disney on March 26. I think it was the best thing we ever did, and I think renewing your vows there would be FANTASTIC!!! You can start getting info from Disney, but cant book anything until one year out. I would call them and start looking into now though, this way you can get an idea of cost, etc... and can save for it. Making it a family affair will be so special and I wish you the best of luck with everything!

I am currently planning a vow renewal for my Dsis and Dbil, my bil is surprising my dsis. As the other poster said, you have to wait until a year out, but go to www.disneyweddings.com and you can get an excellent idea of what they offer. While you are there, sign up for a wish book and check everything out and start selecting the elements you want.

My DH and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary next month with a custom Vow Renewal at Epcot. The whole family, brothers, sisters and all the kids,are coming; a first visit for most of them to Disneyworld. I can't tell you how excited everyone is! CinderellaIam had great suggestions... looking at the website and wishbook...that will get you started. And the FTW staff is wonderful. Congratulations to you and have fun planning...!

Hi everyone! Just found this forum and i think it is great.

Lvdsny, welcome to the Dis! My husband and I celebrated 20 years of marriage last October with a Fairy Tale Weddings custom vow renewal. It was magical beyond words. I wrote about the planning stages of it in an on-going thread that I have on the Dis' Trip Reports board: click here to read it. It should give you a very good idea of what I went through as I planned my event (we renewed our vows inside the Wedding Pavilion and had a private dinner party inside the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park). One of these days I hope to finish my trip report.
