Debating between renaissance and hilton grand vacation club. We won't have a car so I want to be close. My kids are 13 and 14 so I also want stuff to entertain them and I like the thought of a bigger room. Though it seems Renaissance gets much better reviews than Hilton. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?? We will be there for 2 nights and 3 days and our first time at the sea world and aquatic parks.

Thank you

I just booked the Renaissance on Priceline for $80 per night! Pretty excited about staying there. It looks fabulous & you can walk across the street to Sea World. I also discovered that by staying there you get front of the line pass for Sea World's headliner rides which is also a HUGE bonus! There preferred hotels get this privilege & I can't remember if the Hilton is on that list, but you may want to check it out. Good luck on your decision!

I thought you had to buy to package to get the front of the line deal? What star rating did price line show Renaissance at?$80 is a great rate!

The front of the line benefit for staying at a Sea World partner hotel is actually posted on Sea World's website as well as the Renaissance website. It's a great benefit for those staying in their hotels. I bid on sea world area hotel & it was the resort category. I think there is one other hotel in that category that was a possiblity but I can't recall which one it was. I know it was nice as I would have been happy either way. That's the only way I will bid on priceline, I have to be happy with what I get no matter because it is a gamble.

We stayed at the Renaissance on our last visit to Seaworld. It is a beautiful hotel and we loved the convenience of walking across the parking lot to the entrance of SW. We thought we would get front of the line privilege, but when we inquired about it at SW noone knew what we were talking about. We enjoyed the Renaissance and SW and would definitely return if we get the chance.

I went to look at SeaWorlds website again to make sure I read it correctly. Apparently this is a new perk for staying at one of their preferred hotels. It states it begins March 1st which I didn't recall seeing before. Thankfully we will be going in June so hopefully there will be no issues. I thought I would post/share what it says on the website regarding this benefit.

Thank you for your review, now I am even more excited about going!:cool1:

Sounds good. When I booked it we were told at check in we had going to the front of the line privileges, but when we tried it SW knew nothing about it. We didn't pursue it since we were there only one day and didn't have any problems with the attractions we wanted to go on. You will love the Renaissance.
