We are staying at this hotel in December for the first time. We were lucky enough to get a great holiday rate for club level. Has anyone stayed here at Club Level? How are the hors douvres (sp) and the continental breakfast? Do you get wine/beer included in the evening hors douvres? How are the rooms and what floor is club level. We will be here two nights and then moving to the Royal Pacific to have our first Christmas/New Years at USO and IOA. Lots of questions I know and I thank all of you for your help.

I haven't stayed at the Club Level - but we loved this hotel.

You have got to go to SW while you are there - I mean you can walk to it from this hotel.

It's a beautiful resort with large, bright rooms. I had an incredible view of SeaWorld, which is within very easy walking distance. Although I did not tour the Club Level, I would bet it's outstanding, as is the rest of the resort.

Atlantis is an excellent option for fine dining (VERY romantic), and the Sunday buffet simply has to be seen to be believed (it's HUGE!).

Enjoy! You've chosen a magnificent resort!

This is a beautiful hotel and we stayed there on a govt rate.

We were on the 7th fl overlooking the pool, tennis courts and basketball courts. We could see for miles, even WDW. Our room was huge and they had great room service. I think someone there told me that the club level starts on the 9th fl.

Had a great time staying there. We loved just walking over to SeaWorld, it was so easy. We spent alot of time just relaxing there. We also liked spending time by the outdoor pool. They have a cabana with snacks and drinks, they will even bring you a drink while you are lounging by the pool.

Happy trails!

We stayed there, on club level. They have the best shampoo and conditioner, as well as soap. It was Bath and Body works Sunflower and Grapefruit scent, so clean smelling. Actually, the amenities in the bathroom were better then at Portofino Bay!
The rooms are large, and the lobby is beautiful. We went to this hotel after staying at Portofino. When we walked into the lobby my 11 year old let out a big "WOW". There is an aviary and Koi ponds in the lobby. We enjoyed just sitting there. There are two restaurants, and then a little deli type area in the lobby that was perfect for us. It had sandwiches, hot dogs, soup (nice size, perfect for my kids), ice cream, snacks etc.... I was an inexpensive alternative to restaurant dinning.

Thank you everyone. I was excited before but even more now that you've told me all this great stuff!

Hi _ I'm thinking of staying here for 2 nights in November and was wondering if the pool was heated? We are booked at the Radisson Resort Parkway, but after hearing many negatives lately, we've decided to look elsewhere. Since we want to do SeaWorld we thought this would be a great choice. Thanks for any info.

Not to be the lone voice of dissent but I wouldn't recommend the Ren Sea World resort (and I generally LOVE the Marriott/Renaissance chain, being a Platinum Rewards member)

Why?

* A/C was not very "powerful' during a May visit....made for an uncomfy stay (however you may be okay in December)

* hotel is generally too "factory-like", with a huge cavernous lobby and long walks from room to elavator/lobby....it doesn't do it for me....I prefer more intimate properties (or at least large properties that don't feel like they're too large)

* there are too many other nice properties around....if you need ideas, just ask! ....this is one that's worth skipping

Hi, jersey shark,
Which are the other nice properties you'd recommend? I was thinking of the Ren. SeaWorld for Jan. - Feb 2004, but am open to other suggestions!
Thanks!

I'd recommend the Ritz Carlton, the JW Marriott Orlando, the Marriott World Center, any Residence Inn by Marriott, the Hyatt Grand Cypress or if you're staying 4 days or longer and would appreciate a "suite", look into any of the Marriott villas (Grande Vista, Sabal Palms, Royal Palms) etc... If you must be very close to Sea World, look into the Peabody as well.

Don't know exactly what you need in terms of budget, location, if you'll have a car etc..., but the above are my favorite non-Disney picks in the Orlando area.

Hope this helps!

Hey, jersey shark,
Thanks for the suggestions! I actually have a reservation in at Grande Vista. We'll have a car and our budget was under $140/nt...got a rate of $123/nt. at GV as a Marriott Rewards Member.
Thanks again!

I'll be staying here at Thanksgiving time. Got a great rate of $69 a night through Priceline!
