Hi all. I was wondering if someone can confirm what the dress code is for Remy brunch. We received our cruise booklet and as I was flipping through their, I noticed it mentions dress code for our dining reservation. I've been to Palo brunch before and I also noticed it mentioned a jacket for this dining reservation too even though when I went, I didn't wear a jacket. I wore dress shoes, khakis, and a polo shirt. Has anybody that has recently been to Remy brnuch able to tell me what exactly is the dress code for men? Can I wear the same as I wore to Palo brunch or do I need a jacket or if not a jacket, can I wear a dress shirt without a tie, with khakis or slacks, and dress shoes?

It would appear for brunch, the jacket is optional:https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/onboard-activities/remy-restaurant/

Dress to Impress

To preserve the elegant atmosphere, you are asked to adhere to a strict dress code when dining at Remy.

Dinner
At dinnertime, the following dress code is enforced:

  • Men: A jacket (such as a sports, suit or tuxedo jacket) is required, with dress pants/slacks and shoes. Ties are optional. Please no jeans, shorts, sandals, flip-flops or tennis shoes.
  • Ladies: Cocktail dress, evening dress, pant suit or skirt/blouse are required. Please no jeans, shorts, capri pants, sandals, flip-flops or tennis shoes.
Brunch and Dessert
During brunch and dessert, the following dress code is enforced:

  • Men: Dress pants and a shirt are required for men. A jacket is optional. Please no jeans, shorts, capri pants, sandals, flip-flops or tennis shoes.
  • Women: A dress or pantsuit is required. Please no jeans, shorts, capri pants, sandals, flip-flops or tennis shoes

Sorry to resurrect a previous topic but I have a follow up question. For the Remy brunch, does anybody know if nice linen pants are ok with loafers? Also, in regards to the above post where it says a shirt is required, I assume it means a dress shirt. It doesn't mention anything about a tie so can anybody confirm that I don't need a tie.

I'm thinking that I'm going to wear my dark blue tailored (read slimmer fit) linen pants along with a patterned button down shirt tucked in with the sleeves rolled up, at least that's what my wife has ok'd for me. :) I'm thinking it looks kinda miami vice-ish. For Palo brunch, I'm thinking of wearing my more relaxed fit light colored linen pants with an untucked darker color polo shirt with my loafers.

What do you think?

I can confirm first-hand that men need neither a jacket nor tie for Remy brunch. A dress shirt and khakis will be just fine.

In fact, even though the dress code says no sandals for men, they have no problem letting me in with my Keen closed-toe hiking sandals (three times now).

I think they mean "no flip flops". DCL sucks at being explicit.

Well, as @Bishoparc posted, they say "no sandals, flip-flops or tennis shoes", so I'm guessing they recognize sandals and flip-flops as distinct?

The first time I wore my Keens, it was a genuine mistake - I forgot to pack a pair of dress shoes. I went to the hostess a few days prior to my reservation, showed her what I had, and she said it was not a problem.

I am not sure what it is about the Keens that make them permissible, or what would make other (non-flip-flop) sandals impermissible. If you held a gun to my head, I'd have to guess it was the closed toe.

Silly me. I meant open toes.
