I had a lunch reservation at Chefs de France at 1:50 and we were afraid we wouldn't be seated in time for Remy's appearance so we decided to go with dinner instead. I originally scheduled for 6:50 and then changed it to 5:10 hoping we would be seated before the 5:20 round. Today I was able to book a 4:30 ADR. Assuming Remy is working that day, do you think we have a better chance with the 4:30 time? It's a little early for dinner (kids will be ready to eat again before bed).

I have never eaten here. If Remy is scheduled to come out at 5:20 and res. is for 5:10, I would be afraid that I would not be seated by then. I would play it safe and take the earlier time.

I would take the earlier ADR. We've got a 5pm ADR and my fingers are crossed. For all the times we've eaten here we have never seen Remy. I actually haven't even mentioned it to anyone so no one gets disappointed if it doesn't happen.

Remy makes one appearance during dinner (5:20 pm). I would take the earlier ADR because if you are seated late or are in the process of being seated when Remy comes by your table, he will not stop and he will not come back.

REMY Info:

1) Inside Les Chefs de France.
2) Monday-thru-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm
3) Visiting
. . . he usually comes out right on schedule
. . . the cart makes one trip around the eatery
. . . you must wait until he comes to your table *
. . . you cannot get up and go over to him, handlers make sure of this
. . . if you miss him, he does not make a second trip
. . . you must wait for the next scheduled time
. . . if your ADR is near a scheduled time, be early
. . . you may not be seated on time, and will miss him
. . . you might be in line waiting for a table when he appears

. . . if so, you wait for the next scheduled trip

* If people gathered around the cart, it would clog the aisles. Also,
guests might be pressing their shorts and clothes against other guest's
tabletop and food (eewe, yuck, gross). Also, he is a temperamental little
critter, and occasionally does not appear at all, and with NO PRIOR NOTICE,
so use caution when promising him to little ones to avoid disappointment

Ok, I will admit it, I am in my 40's, and I scheduled a dinner around Remy last September. Unfortunately we picked a night where he wasn't working properly, and we never got to see him.

I will try again next December.
